Leaving Bamako today and heading up the Niger river towards Segou, San, Djenne and Mopti. Back on the road again, after a long time. And now with another partner, Mar from Malaga. First timer at this stuff. And she's a girl
21 August, 2004
They've found my stuff. Actually, they found them a couple of days ago, just overlooked sending them over or even, you know, telling me.
20 August, 2004
Aaah, much better. Back from a very very nice couple of months in Spain - Granada, Cordoba, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Ibiza, Malaga. Back in Bamako now, and waiting for those nice people at Air Mauritanie to find my luggage, which they seem to have misplaced somewhere between here and Casablanca.
21 June, 2004
Hooray, hooray, it's a holi holiday. Besty is cooling her pedals in Bamako, and I'm having some well deserved rest and relaxation in Granada, Spain

26 April, 2004 In Tambakounda and it's hot. Taking a day off, then heading south east through Niokolo-Koba National Park. Have lost Gerald, who's taking a taxi to Kayes and on to Bamako. Chap's in a hurry.

12 April, 2004 Arrived at Banjul, staying with Sue and family in Serekunda. Didn't go to Dakar after all, went staight by through Thies and Kaolack, crossed the border into Gambia at Karang and took the ferry into Banjul.
30 March, 2004 St. Louis. Taking some days off, then going to head south to Dakar.
26 March, 2004 Leaving Nouakchott tomorrow going to head for St.Louis via the barrage at Diama (avoiding Rosso, the border crossing from hell)

12 March, 2004 I've made it! Crossed the Sahara! Arrived in Nouakchott this morning. Taking a break, and damned if I don't deserve it. Going for a road trip in Senegal for a week or two.
6 March, 2004 Back in Boulanoir. Not going according to plan. Sandstorm on the 4th, and searching for the damn Chinese road, couldn't find it. Did a circuit through open desert and tracked back here. Leaving again today, hopefully with better directions.
3 March, 2004 In Boulanoir and heading south, so far so good.
29 Februrary, 2004 Back in Nouadhibou, leaving tomorrow for the desert crossing. Should be in Nouakchott in a week, or perhaps two.

26 January, 2004
We've arrived at Nouadhibou, Crossed the border yesterday, followed the tracks through the minefield, then along the piste into Nouadhibou, easy peasy.
