Updated 14 November, 2005 Tom Platts-Mills left from Greenwich, London on the 22nd of June, 2003 to begin a solo bike trip around the continent of Africa, then back to London via the Middle East. In a little under three years he'll travel 50,000 km, a bunch of countries, a couple of deserts, a jungle or two, and through places like Casablanca, Timbuctu, Zanzibar, the Sahara ....
