IMPORTANT NOTICE

Our guest speaker for the meeting on Thursday 11th December will now be Martin Withers of the Black Buck bombing missions to Ascension

Welcome to the Web Site of the Manchester Branch of Air-Britain (Historians) Ltd. In here you will find details of our monthly Social Meetings, new items on our Branch Sales Stand, and much more besides.

The Branch was re-formed in 1976 (having been orginally formed in the mid 60's) with the intention of bringing the facilities of our parent association, Air-Britain (Historians) Ltd, to the members in the North West. The Branch holds regular monthly Social Meetings featuring guests from all aspects of Aviation. Our meetings are open to all, not just for Air-Britain members, a small admission charge is raised, whilst yearly Branch Membership is also available. Our Meetings are currently held at the Cheadle Sports & Social Club, situated on the main A34 road just South of the junction with the A560 & the M60. Meetings start at 2000hrs prompt. Details of guest speakers can be found in the Events and Meetings section.

The Branch organises a number of visits during the course of the year, to both civil and military facilities. Again details can be found in the Branch Trips Section. We do have access to a privately preserved 1969 ex Crosville Bristol RE coach which we have, and will be, used for a couple of trips, twice having visited Belguim with this particular vehicle. Watch our Trips Report section to see what we got up to on these trips etc.

The Branch Sales Stand is available at virtually all meetings, and can also be found at various Aviation Enthusiasts Fairs etc around the North West of England. Watch the News Section for details of where the Stand can be next found.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further details on the Branch & Branch activities. See Contact Us for details of how to get in touch with me

Thanks.
